Acceptance ...

If we don't teach our children acceptance who will? I know there are a lot of people out there who might not agree with the way I am raising my son, possibly even family or friends of mine, but honestly I don't really care. Levi is the most loving, caring and the most awesome person I have ever met. I have raised him to accept everyone the way they are. To not judge people by who they are, to not judge people by their race, their gender or who they love. I have raised him to be open minded and make his own choices. Some days I have an out of control, full force Power Ranger fighting ninjas with his sword and then other days he is watching Tangled curled up in my lap. This is what I love best about him. Not everyone has to like my son ... he doesn't have to be the most popular kid in the class ... but no one has the right to make fun of my child because of what what he picked out to wear to school. No one has the right to make fun of anyone. My heart breaks when I hear kids at this age make fun of someone ... who teaches them this? I can only hug Levi and tell him I love what he picked out and kiss him goodbye. Acceptance ...
