Change isn't always bad

It has been a busy start to 2017 and only getting busier.

Levi had some academic and behavioral testing done back in February. The reports gave us a lot of great information on how he learns and where he is academically. Levi has ADHD (who doesn’t) but not severe enough for any medication. We continue to work daily on calming techniques and how to get through his day. He gets bored very easily with schoolwork and will not complete assignments that he knows how to do because he is bored with it. We are working on techniques that will help him get past this hurdle and continue to challenge him.

We had a pretty big blow hit in March when we lost my Grandfather pretty suddenly after he was sick for only a month. Popple was a very respected veteran and a member of the Purple Heart. He will forever be loved and deeply missed by everyone that knew him. The great grandkids seem to be handling the loss as best they can.

Levi completed his first season of diving. He only competed at one meet but got 2 gold medals, in 1m and 3m, for his age group. He loves being able to be at the pool year round. This summer he will continue his diving for 4 weeks of dive camp. I think he likes the camp better than the normal classes since they allow him to dive off the 5m platform … and 7m by the end of camp. He loves the platform diving a lot more than springboard. Olympics here we come!

May also brought on moving … again. We have been at our current townhome for 3 years and truly love our neighborhood and our neighbors. Our lease was not renewed (long story) and I had to get the house packed and into storage in 2 weeks. Thanks to my mom and Levi for helping me pack and my dad for helping get everything moved. We will be moving to our new townhome (next door) in August (another long story). Levi and I have our home base at my parents for the summer but will be back and forth staying with friends in town so Levi and I can get to work and camp in town a lot easier. If you have an extra room you might see us ☺

So here we are at the start of June both of us feeling great and ready to take on summer.
