Growing up I never dreamed that my life would turn out quite like it has. Well I don't think any of us really do. I guess there are probably a handful of people that say I am going to be a doctor at age 5 and then at age 30 they are just that ... but for the majority of us I think at age 5 the dream of becoming an actress or a model or a dancer or whatever it is we dressed up and pretended to be really isn't what we ended up doing in our 20s and 30s.
I honestly don't remember what I wanted to be when i grew up ... and even when I was in my 8th and final undergrad year (haha) in college I STILL didn't have a clue as to what I was going to do with the rest of life. At that point I had settled on business as a major just so I could graduate and was taking most of my credit hours in finance for easy A's because I never had to study in those classes.
So here I am at 31 and have been at my job 5 years today and never thought I would be a Financial Controller (my new title as of recently). I never would have thought I would have a job with such a fancy title ... and where my son could tag along and be in the same place everday. Not sure many people are as lucky.
Well I guess your nerdy dad rubbed off on you. Pretty wild that it has been 5 years!
